CASTROL CLASSIC RUNNING IN OIL NO2 – 5 Ltr
Castrol Classic Running-In Oil 2 is a specialized mineral-based SAE 30 lubricant designed to help safely seat piston rings and protect metal components during the critical break-in period of new and reconditioned petrol and diesel engines.
Key Application Guidelines
- New Units (Naturally Aspirated): Use as a second-fill oil after the initial factory fill, change at 1,000 miles, and run for up to 6,000 miles before switching to standard service oil.
- New Units (Turbocharged): Follow similar initial milestones, but limit use to a maximum of 2,000 miles before changing to service oil.
- Reconditioned Units: Use as the initial fill, change at 1,000 miles (replacing with fresh Running-In Oil 2), and then switch to service oil after an additional 6,000 miles (naturally aspirated) or 2,000 miles max (turbocharged).
